Project Overview

The Challenge

The website needed to bring together a number of holiday let properties under one website. Previously these sites had operated under separate and independent domains. Each also has its own character so we needed to reflect this while showing an overall brand.

The Solution

We were fortunate to have a wealth of beautiful original photos to help illustrate the Devon locations where the holiday cottages can be found. Our partners, Neo Position, provided much of the design. Using WordPress and the Genesis Framework we created sub-templates to accommodate details of each cottage. The main content fitted within our page template layouts providing general information on sight-seeing, facilities and even what to do on rainy days. We used an embedded availability checker, as well as form integration to provide last-minute booking opportunities. Further testimonials could also be added via a widget to showing revolving comments from happy visitors.

For SEO we were able to redirect the domain names for each property to the main website. This is helpful where backlinks have already been established and there is link traffic coming through.

Outcome

Combined with a Facebook page that is growing in popularity, the website quickly helped drive bookings for the holiday cottages.
