We were approached last year to help develop a website that would help increase business and interest in Mongolia. This involved creating an easily updateable WordPress website that could carry up to date information on events and members of the chamber, including the likes of Price Waterhouse Coopers, Rio Tinto and ING. We were also provided with some breathtaking photographs of Mongolia which we hope to see featured more as the site grows.

Along with Hughes Design, we’ve been working with speaker designers, Ferguson Hill, for several years now. And during that time we’ve helped update their website to reflect new offers and products. This week they’ve launched their new FHOO9 speaker system which is aimed at providing a full home cinema experience.

Milbury Systems is the latest in a line of websites that DJA has been involved with for the Eleco plc group of companies. We used Joomla with a number of extensions aimed at creating a vibrant, colourful and informative site focusing on their precast concrete business. Previous work includes the Bell & Webster website complete in 2011.

We started working with the Sensible Music Group on a website for British blues guitar legend and former Rolling Stone, Mick Taylor. Following on from that their current website needed some additional functionality for a news page, a means of visually navigating the studios and updates to their client pages. Not only do they work with a fantastic list of clients, including the late Amy Winehouse, Example and Jessie J but they offer a range of recording services on location, including this year’s Olympics.

In real life DJA and Hughes Design have spent some time working with Warwick and his company on the website for Willow Management, an agency promoting short actors, a number of whom appear in the show. The website enables casting directors to search for actors of varying heights below 5 feet, to email and print search results. More information is in our Recent Work section.

Bell & Webster is part Eleco plc group of companies and is the leader in the design, manufacture and construction of structural precast concrete buildings including hotel and student accommodation. We were asked to update their exiating Joomla website to bring it in line with other companies in the group, including the main website, www.eleco.com The site also features a real-time counter to show how many rooms and retaining walls they have constructed.

Willow manages around 100 short actors who appear onstage, TV and films such as the Harry Potter series, Star Wars and most recently with Ricky Gervais in the forthcoming series “Life’s Too Short”.

Sometime ago we met with actor Warwick Davis and his team to discuss how we could update their management website. They wanted the site to be easily accessible for casting directors who wanted to find actors for their projects. Additionally it needed to be updateable.

With a combination of Joomla for content management and a lot of bespoke PHP coding we pulled Mike’s design into shape, making actors easily searchable and results easily printable. It’s also possible to email a page reference so colleagues can view the same profiles.

One day we may even turn this into an iPhone app.

We’ve been working with cashmere scarf specialists, Wholly Goat, for over a year now, a fact they haven’t overlooked. For their first birthday they decided to offer customers who signed up to their mailing list a 21% discount between 21st September and 21st October 2011. All potential customers had to do was sign up to their mailing list.

We managed the programme through Mail Chimp and were very pleased with the results. Firstly, a mailout to existing customers was very well received with over 50% of emails being opened. Secondly the new mailing list started to fill up too. And we could monitor it all from MailChimp’s handy iPhone app too.
