TypeKit acquired by Adobe

We think this could be great news for the way websites look. Adobe, maker of Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and all things that allow us to be visually creative on the web and in print, has acquired TypeKit, the people who allowed us to make website text look less like websites and more like artistic creations. We’ve used TypeKit’s tools on a number of websites, including this very website, Miles Partnership, Truly Minka and more,  to go beyond the handful of websafe fonts and on to something much nicer.

We’re looking forward to being able to use many more creative executions of websites that don’t always have to fall back on Arial, Times New Roman, etc.
